U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Paul Tavares, 439th Airlift Control Flight, converts a C-17 Globemaster III's rollers to on-load pallets at Patriot Hook 2012, San Clemente Island Naval Auxiliary Landing Field, Calif., March 17, 2012. Patriot Hook 2012 is an Air Force Reserve Command sponsored exercise that deploys Tanker/Airlift Control Elements to three locations and assembles units from the Air Force Reserve, Navy, Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue, and other agencies to confirm the viability of coordinated security, disaster and contingency response operations.
