A C-130J Super Hercules, belonging to the 37th Airlift Squadron on Ramstein Air Base, bearing the Whiskey-7 marker, flies as part of a four-ship formation over the coast of Normandy, France, June 5, 2019. The 37th Troop Carrier Squadron bore the W7 identifier during D-Day as their pilots dropped airborne infantrymen on intended drop zones. As their legacy squadron, the 37th AS bears the W7 identifier in 2019 to pay homage to the 37th TCS and the sacrifices they made on D-Day. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kristof J. Rixmann)
