190607-N-QD718-0263 GULF OF THAILAND (June 7, 2019) – Gunner’s Mate Seaman David Gonzales, from Byron, Ga., prepares to launch an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Saber Hawks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSM) 77 aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2019. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise series designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies’ abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
