Sergeant Michael S. Abeyta, a squad leader with Golf Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines, leads a security patrol to Observation Post Shrine here, March 16, 2012. Abeyta, a 26-year-old native of Tucson, Ariz., is also a field wireman who learned infantry tactics to serve as a squad leader during his deployment. The Marines of Golf Battery provide security for the nearby Kajaki Dam, which provides electrical power for much of Helmand province.
