SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 8, 2019) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Olivia Fobbs from Los Angeles removes a slot seal from a catapult on the flight deck of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Slot seals prevent fuel and other fluids that may damage the catapult from entering the catapult tracks when not in use. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
