Panama City, FL -- Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Patrick Bishop is presented the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal by the commanding officer of Naval Support Activity Panama City, Cmdr. Kevin Christenson during an awards ceremony held Friday, June 14, 2019. Bishop was recognized for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as port operations maintenance technician from April 2017 to June 2019. Petty Officer Bishop managed corrective maintenance for the oil spill equipment resulting in optimal operational readiness and saving the Navy $4,000 in contract costs. He was also an entry control point sentry and was a member of the command's funeral detail.
