Paul Pearigen, Navy Medicine West (NMW) commander and chief of the Navy Medical Corps attended a Philadelphia Phillies game where he was invited onto the field to change out third base and honored as a “Hometown Hero.” Pearigen was in Philadelphia as part of a Navy Office of Community Outreach program that brings senior Navy leaders together with their civilian counterparts in local government, corporate, and civic organizations to increase awareness and understanding of the Navy’s mission.
