Posters spread across one of the fences located at the San Mateo parade deck where more than 300 Marines and sailors with Golf Company and Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment returned from a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan early morning, March 27. Family and friends waited hours under the cold weather anxiously for the arrival of their Marines, which wasn’t until approximately 3 a.m.
