Pfc. Gerald Anderson Jr., Avenger operator, Battery E , 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas, demonstrates the Avenger’s remote capabilities, Feb. 29, at the U.S. Border Patrol’s Douglas Station in Arizona to Border Patrol agents and members of the media during “Operation Nimbus II.” Active-duty soldiers from Fort Hood and Fort Bliss, Texas, provided air and ground reconnaissance and surveillance support to the Border Patrol during Operation Nimbus II, a military support to civilian law enforcement mission coordinated by Joint Task Force – North, a U.S. Northern Command element under the operational control of U.S. Army North.
