Andrew Bergstrom, commanding officer of Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 3 Alpha Company Crew 2, speaks with midshipmen aboard a Mark VI patrol boat during the Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen (CORTRAMID) event on Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Bergstrom is the Navy’s first surface warfare officer to assume the new Coastal Riverine Force command-at-sea billet on the Navy’s new cutting-edge Mark VI patrol boats. CORTRAMID is a program that hosts second and third class midshipmen from various Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) programs and provides opportunities in surface, submarine, aviation and Marine Corps orientation.
