U.S. Army Soldiers of the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 40th Infantry Division, are trained by Renee McConnell, field training and support specialist, on Direct Incident Response Emergency Communications Terminal (DIRECT) during annual training on Camp Roberts Training Base, California, June 17. The DIRECT was decribed as a communication system that receives input communication signals from various wireless devices and outputs the signal into a single channel.
