Lt. Col. Timothy R. Maples, outgoing commander of the 401st AFSB-SWA, relinquished authority to Maj. Ryan Wright, acting commander of the 401st AFSB-SWA. U.S. Army Central is a disciplined and agile command comprised of America’s land domain experts in the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia which is postured through enduring presence and persistent partnerships to protect U.S. national interests in the central region and is capable of rapid transition to command joint and coalition forces to defeat emerging threats.
