SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 15, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class John Davis Jr., trains Sailors how to repair a simulated flood during a damage control training exercise aboard the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). Harpers Ferry is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) team and is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
