Jeremiah Hust, the military funding coordinator for Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, opens the doors to a Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT) during Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2019 Educators and Key Leaders Workshop at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, June 19. The educators trained in a HEAT, a machine meant to teach service members how to escape out of a rolled-over Humvee. The workshop educates approximately 45 professors, coaches, administrators and counselors from colleges across the nation about essential Marine Corps leadership skills and programs they can share with their students based on first-hand experiences.
