Maj. Christopher Tung rides his speed bicycle during a Chicago triathlon. Tung said the geometry and aerodynamics of the bike make it ‘really fast’. He has used this bicycle for the past few years. Handle bars are one of the main differences between a road bike and triathlon bike. Triathlon bikes have aerobars instead of regular handles. Triathlon bikes are also intended for riding on roads and use a thinner frame and tire for greater efficiency. Tung was one of four Soldiers, assigned to the 85th USARSC headquarters, who received a fitness badge at the headquarters battle assembly weekend.Tung, who regularly scores 300 on his Army Physical Fitness Test shared his fitness plan in preparation for APFT and triathlons.
