KC-135 Stratotankers assigned to the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Tennessee Air National Guard, and the 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin ANG are parked at Burgas airport during exercise Saber Guardian 19, June 17, 2019. Exercise Saber Guardian is a multinational exercise under U.S. European Command’s Joint Exercise Program (JEP). It enhances joint and combined interoperability across a variety of mission sets between Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, the U.S., NATO allies, and Partnership for Peace nations. U.S. Air Forces in Europe are engaged, postured, and ready with credible forces to assure, deter and defend our allies and partner nations in an increasingly complex security environment. While training with regional allies and partners during the exercise, the U.S. presence will continue to galvanize our commitment to security throughout the Black Sea and Balkan regions.
