U.S. Marines, Sailors and partner nation military officers with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, along with partner nation military members from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and the Dominican Republic, salute the United States and Honduran colors during the SPMAGTF-SC19 opening ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, June 21, 2019, during the opening ceremony. Partner nation military members from Brazil Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Belize and the Dominican Republic joined the SPMAGTF-SC for their deployment to Latin America and the Caribbean. The task force will conduct training and engineering projects hand-in-hand with partner nation military members in the region during their deployment that coincides with hurricane season.
