Boatswains Mate Seaman Marcus Coleman runs a mooring line around a capstan aboard Amphibious transport dock ship USS New York as the ship prepares to on load the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group/24th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Maritime Security Operations and Theater Security Cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility. The Iwo Jima ARG/24 MEU is comprised of embarked Marines from the 24th MEU, the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall, and the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York.
