Contracted personnel perform an accountability assessment and pack items belonging to a U.S. Soldier before her moving to a different state June 12, 2019. After the items are packed they will depart for the final destination. Recently U.S. Transportation Command took over the responsibility for the Department of Defense's Personal Property Program (DP3). USTRANSCOM now acts as the sole negotiator, worldwide, with commercial firms on rates and other matters incidental to shipment and storage services for all personal property.
