CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (June 13, 2019) - Instructor pilot Marine Capt. John Anderson and student pilots Marine 1st Lt. Shay Farrell and Ens. Mathew Kautzman review their preflight brief prior to last familiarization (Fam) flight. Fam flights are the first four flights that students conduct in Primary Flight training meant to familiarize the students with the characteristics of the T-6B Texan II aircraft. Farrell and Kautzman are both attached to the "Boomers" of Training Squadron 27 aboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. ( U.S. Marine Corps photo by 1st Lt.
