190610-N-UM706-1072 BAB AL MANDEB STRAIT (June 10, 2019) Electronics Technician 3rd Class Marcus Floyd, from Upper Marlboro, Md., assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), stands watch on the ship’s bridge wing during a Bab Al Mandeb Strait transit. Nitze is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
