Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) candidates and pilots assigned the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 pose for a photograph after a briefing and visit by the WTI candidates to the squadron onboard Naval Station Norfolk. The WTI candidates visited HSC 22 and other commands in the Hampton Roads area as part of their ship-to-shore movement week during a 15-week curriculum to earn WTI qualification. After qualification, WTIs complete production tours where their tactical acumen and training are leveraged to support Surface Fleet advanced tactical training, doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures development, operational support, or experimentation, capability analysis, and developing future requirements through Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). SMWDC is one of the Navy's five Warfighting Development Centers and its mission is to increase the lethality and tactical proficiency of the surface force across all domains. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt.
