DJIBOUTI CITY, Djibouti - U.S. Navy Capt. Ken Crowe, commanding officer of Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa leadership, along with host nation officials, and local coalition military leadership, attend a military parade performed by the Djiboutian Armed Forces to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of Djibouti’s Independence Day, June 27, 2019. The annual celebration hosted by Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, the president of Djibouti, offered an opportunity for militaries from various nations to show support for shared goals of security and stability in the region. Camp Lemonnier is an operationally focused shore installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
