    216th Engineer Battalion

Spc. Joseph Collingwood from Hamden, uses a paper and pencil to measure distances on a military map, April 1 at the Camp Sherman Readiness Center in Chillicothe. Collingwood, a member of the Chillicothe based 1194th Engineer Company, was taking part in a military map reading refresher course. This training allows a soldier to be able to find their way to different points, without the use of modern GPS devices.
