U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, hold their promotion warrants during a promotion ceremony aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43). The Marines were recently promoted to the rank of Corporal. The Fort McHenry is making a scheduled deployment as part of the 22nd MEU and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while also providing a forward Naval and Marine presence.
