Maj. Gen. Stephen M. Neary, II Marine Expeditionary Force deputy commanding general and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade commander, meets Sgt. Maj. Morten Fosland, Brigade North command sergeant major, during a visit to Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 2, 2019. “I would like it for [Marines] to come meet with us when you come to Norway, especially when we are creating brigade exercises in order to meet your training requirements,” said Lervik. “We are looking forward to having [2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment]. It has been a pleasure having [3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment and [1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment] and I am looking forward to getting to know you as well.” Brig. Gen. Lars S. Lervik, Brigade North commander, and staff met with leaders of Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River to enhance the relationship between the Norwegian military and II MEF.
