U.S. Soldiers assigned to Charlie Co., 1-118th Infantry Bn., 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard, train alongside Colombian Army Soldiers as part of Exercise Together Forward at Tolemaida, Colombia, July 4, 2019. The exercise allows for an exchanging of infantry doctrine performing squad and platoon situational training exercises, and will culminate with an integrated platoon live fire exercise. The S.C. National Guard and The Republic of Colombia have a State Partnership Program since 2012 which provides support to Colombia’s Security Cooperation Organization. Exercise Together Forward is part of U.S. Southern Command’s Enduring Promise initiative and reflects the United States’ enduring promise of friendship, partnership, and solidarity with the Americas.
