190709-N-SA412-0111 TASMAN SEA (July 9, 2019) Combat Cargo Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) move supplies onto the port aircraft elevator during a replenishment-at-sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
