Cris Stone, vice chairman, Civilian Marksmanship Program Board of Directors, takes his position on the firing line and steadies himself to fire the CMP’s 2019 National Matches’ ceremonial first shot July 8, 2019, at the Camp Perry Joint Training Center just west of Port Clinton, Ohio. The National Matches is a monthlong mix of original CMP matches along with traditional pistol, smallbore, high-power rifle, and long-range rifle competitions, attracting hundreds of elite-level pistol and rifle shooters from around the world.
