GULF OF ADEN (July 9, 2019) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Eduard Voicu, right, from Chicago, Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Dakota Rose, center, from Kingston, Mass., and Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Harrison Davis, from Palmetto Bay, Fla., all assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), unload high-explosive incendiary tracer ammunition from a MK-38 25mm machine gun during routine maintenance on the fantail. Boxer is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
