Armed Forces of the Philippines Air Force from 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, United States Army soldiers from 643rd Engineer Company, 84th Engineer Battalion, and U.S. Air Force airmen from 354th Civil Engineer Squadron work together at an engineering civic assistance project at Kandis Elementary School, March 27, 2012. Philippine and U.S. military members are constructing a new building at the school during Exercise Balikatan 2012, an annual bilateral training exercise aimed at improving Philippine and U.S. military force interoperability during planning, contingency, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. This is one of five ENCAPs the island of Palawan will receive during the exercise, which officially begins April 16, 2012.
