USACE Commanding General and 54th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite conducted border barrier construction site visits near San Diego, California on July 9.
The Corps is supporting the Department of Homeland Security's request to build additional border barrier near San Diego. This project is for new border barrier in the U.S. Border Patrol's San Diego Sector, which is funded by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and executed by USACE.
