Pvt. 1st Class Andrew Horn, a forward observer assigned to the 1-252 Armor Regiment, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, watches for and identifies enemy targets during their 19-09 rotation at the National Training Center (NTC) on July 9, 2019. The NTC is a training facility designed to simulate real-life combat scenarios testing warriors’ readiness utilizing their military occupational specialty in a high-up-tempo environment. Operation Hickory Sting provides the best, toughest and most current combat training available in the U.S. Army preparing the 30th ABCT for deployment overseas later this fall.
