190714-N-FN963-1043 CALLAO, Peru (July 14, 2019) Electronics Technician 1st Class James Smith, from Clinton, Iowa, right, and Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Travis Free, from Elberta, Ala., both assigned to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), help to build and paint a playground for Venezuelan migrant children while the ship is in port for a medical mission. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
