NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DEVESELU, Romania (July 17, 2019) – U.S. Army soldiers (right) Staff Sgt. Anthony Wooley and 2nd Lt. Shawn Watson, both of 51st Signal Brigade, provide an overview briefing on the communications terminal for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense(THAAD) system to the Romanian Minister of National Defense Gabriel-Beniamin Leș and other distinguished visitors during a visit to the Naval Support Facility Deveselu July 17, 2019. The minister and U.S. Ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm, toured the U.S. Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System Romania (AABMDS) facility and THAAD site during their visit to see first-hand how the systems are integrated into the NATO BMD architecture for the southern European region.
