Brian Kornegay, speaks to friends and family members at a funeral for his mother, Shirley Kornegay, April 5, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego. Shirley was on of the first 49 female Marines to be stationed aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. She passed away, March 7, at the age of 89.
