Spc. Rodney Knightshead, a unit supply specialist assigned to 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, receives a challenge coin for excellence from Gen. James C. McConville, the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, at Fort Bliss, Texas, July 22. Knightshead’s expertise and dedication was essential to the success of 1ABCT’s conversion from a Stryker brigade to an armored brigade, as he assisted Soldiers in preparing more than 100 turn-in and lateral transfer documents as well as ensuring that his unit met challenging deadlines and succeeded in completing demanding missions.
