QUEENSLAND, Australia -- On July 13, 2019, Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment prepare to depart from Camp Rocky to Shoalwater Bay Training Area to kick off Exercise Hamel, an exercise taking place during Exercise Talisman Saber. Exercises like Talisman Saber provides effective and intense training to ensure U.S. and Australian forces are capable, interoperable, deployable on short notice and combat-ready.
