Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., commanding general, U.S. Central Command, speaks to service members at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, July 23, 2019. McKenzie and his Senior Enlisted Leader, Fleet Master Chief James Herdel, are visiting Kuwait as part of a tour of the CENTCOM area of responsibility. “You’re actually here at a hinge moment in history. Over the next 90 days a lot of important things are going to happen in this AOR and you guys and gals are right here in the middle of it. I feel better knowing I have forces up here at Buehring that I can employ if I have to in addition to the stability that you bring to Kuwait just by being here,” said McKenzie to the gathered crowd.
