Petty Officer 3rd Class Adam Ziegler, an aviation boatswain's mate (handling), stands the aircraft firefighter watch as part of the crash and salvage team manning a P-25 Firefighting Vehicle aboard nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Indian Ocean, Sept. 5. Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11, deployed in support of 7th Fleet, are participating in Malabar 2007, an exercise for the navies of the United States, Australia, India, Japan and Singapore. The exercise is designed to increase interoperability among the navies and to develop common procedures for maritime operations.
