Freund (second from the left), 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit medical chief, during a tour of the ship on April 16th. The 24th MEU is off the coast of Morocco to participate in African Lion 2012. African Lion is an annually scheduled bilateral exercise between the U.S. and Moroccan military designed to enhance communication and interoperability between the two nations. Freund claimed his team had "the best equipped medical section the MEU's ever had."
