Marines from Charlie Company, 3rd Platoon, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, disassemble their M249 squad automatic weapons during a training exercise in the well deck aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). Gunston Hall is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th MEU. Gunston Hall is deployed participating in Exercise African Lion, a bi-lateral exercise between U.S. and Moroccan forces in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
