Marines with 5th Battalion, 11th Marines, Q Battery, currently attached to 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, maneuver with and provide security for a M142 Launcher during exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 in Proserpine, Australia on July 24, 2019. HIMARS from the 3d Marine Division provide the combined-joint force with the unique capability of a mobile, transportable surface to surface missile system that can accurately deliver precision guided munitions to a variety of targets. Talisman Sabre 19 is a bilateral exercise that provides U.S. and Australian forces realistic and relevant training to strengthen regional security, peace and stability.
