The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS)-Mechanicsburg N972 Aircraft Carrier (CVN) Integrated Weapon Systems Team (IWST) – "Carrier Nation" team – recently conducted a “pod” team meeting in Mechanicsburg, Pa., to synchronize efforts. The cross-functional team concept, or pod, part of the New Era Workforce initiative, is designed to bring contract specialists, supply planners, program managers and IWST leadership together to create a better structure, cadence, collaboration, timeliness of support and focus on priority tasks.
