Airmen from the 49th Civil Engineer and Materiel Maintenance Squadrons travel to a mock airfield to perform a rapid runway repair during a Bivouac exercise April 11. The ability to repair flight operations to normal standards while maintaining situational awareness in a hostile environment was one of the highest priorities in the exercise.
