SAN DIEGO (July 22, 2019) Seaman Jeremy Rainey secures a Mk-7 life raft aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). Commonly known as a ‘Mark 7,’ each life raft can hold up to 25 people. Makin Island carries approximately 140 onboard.
