190801-N-PL543-1269 PHILIPPINE SEA (August 01, 2019) Seaman Eliza Lomeli, from Merced, California, operates a sliding padeye during a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command's fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) aboard the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Lomeli was a part of the first all-female underway replenishment rig team in ship’s history composed of twenty-one Sailors assigned to Deck Department. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
