BRISBANE, Australia -- Aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1) at the Port of Brisbane, Army Maj. Gen. Roger Noble, deputy chief of Joint Operations (left) and Rear Adm. Fred Kacher, commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7 (right) begin the closing ceremony for Exercise Talisman Sabre fon July 27.
Talisman Saber is a biannual exercise between the U.S. and Australian military forces. It represents the strong bond between the nations own forces and their ability to operate together. It provides practical and intense training to ensure U.S. and Australian forces are capable, interoperable, deployable on short notice and combat-ready. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Nicolas A.
