Operations Specialist Second Class Vincent Watson receives free Girl Scout Cookies from Troop 40207, out of Belle Chase, La., following a Military Welfare and Recreation sponsored Basketball Tournament between all Navy Week New Orleans attending ships, April 20. Wasp is in New Orleans, April 17-23, for the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration Fleet Week. Overall, there will be about 3,000 Sailors and Marines, nine ships and about three dozen aircraft in attendance. Visiting ships are from the United States, France, Canada, Great Britain, Ecuador, and Indonesia. The commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812 is a salute to all sailors and Marines who fought gallantly in that conflict, who have served in our nations' conflicts since then, and who are defending freedom around the world today.
