Lt. Andrew Hoffman explains the catapult assembly on a F/A-18F Super Hornet to a visitor at the 2012 Defenders of Liberty Air Show at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City. Hoffman is the weapons system officer for the fighter jet, which is assigned to the “Blacklions” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213 from Naval Air Station Oceana, Va., and was flown in to be part of a static display at the air show.
